Introduction

MyFitnessLog ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address and name when you sign in with Google (iPhone and Android) or Apple (iPhone only). Signing in is optional.
• Workout Data: Exercises, sets, reps, weights, and workout duration
• Custom Exercises: Any custom exercises you create
• Routines: Workout routines you save

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version
• Usage Data: App usage patterns and features accessed

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the app functionality
• Sync your workout data across devices (if you enable cloud sync)
• Improve our app and user experience
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests

Data Storage

Local Storage

Your workout data is primarily stored locally on your device using SQLite database. This data remains on your device unless you enable cloud sync.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to enable cloud sync:

• Your data is securely stored on Supabase servers
• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS
• You can delete your cloud data at any time

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Advertising (Google AdMob)

FitnessLog displays a banner on the main screens and a full-screen ad after a workout is finished. Google's advertising SDK may collect device identifiers, coarse location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data in order to serve and measure those ads. This happens inside Google's SDK; we do not receive or store any of it. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not ask for permission to track you, and the app does not use Apple's advertising identifier for tracking. You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. The optional Remove Ads purchase removes all advertising from the app.

On Android, Google's SDK uses the Android advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your phone's Settings › Privacy › Ads (or Settings › Google › Ads, depending on the device). If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before showing ads, and you can change your choice later under Profile › Ad privacy choices. On Android, Remove Ads is purchased through Google Play.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information. Apart from the advertising data collected by Google's SDK described above, we do not share it with third parties, except:

• When required by law
• To protect our rights or safety
• With your explicit consent

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your workout data
• Opt-out of cloud sync at any time

Data Retention

• Local Data: Stored until you delete the app or clear app data
• Cloud Data: Stored until you delete your account or disable sync

Children's Privacy

MyFitnessLog is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
