Privacy Policy

Summary

• Tallyleaf has no account and no server. Everything you enter is stored on your iPhone.
• We, SoSo Family, do not collect any data from the app. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting code.
• Data leaves your iPhone only when you choose to send it somewhere: an export or backup file you share, or weight readings you allow to go to Apple Health.
• The waitlist form on our website is separate from the app and is described in its own section below.

About This Policy

This policy covers the Tallyleaf iPhone app ("the App") and the Tallyleaf pages on sosofamily.ca, both made by SoSo Family ("we", "us"), based in British Columbia, Canada. The App is a personal log for GLP-1 medicines. It is not a medical device.

Information You Enter in the App

You may enter information about your health, including:

• Medicines you take, their form (brand-name, generic, compounded or your own entry) and your schedule
• Doses you record, in the amounts you type, and when you took them
• Injection sites
• Side effects, or a note that you had none
• Weight
• Changes from one product to another
• Cost notes and your own notes
• App settings, such as units, currency and reminder times

This information is stored only in the App's storage on your iPhone. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it. We have no copy of it, so we cannot recover it for you if it is lost.

Device backups

If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, Apple's backup may include the App's data, as it does for most apps. That backup is controlled by you and Apple under Apple's terms; we have no access to it. The App itself does not use iCloud sync.

Features That Use Your Device

Apple Health (optional)

You can allow the App to read weight from Apple Health, write the weight you log to Apple Health, or both. Both are off until you turn them on, and you can change them at any time in the Health app or iPhone Settings. The App reads and writes weight only. Information from Apple Health is used only to show your weight in the App. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never sent to us or any third party.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone. They do not go through any server. By default, reminder text on your lock screen does not name your medicine; you can change this in the App's settings.

Face ID or passcode lock (optional)

If you turn on the lock, your iPhone checks your face or passcode. The App only receives a yes or no answer from iOS. It never receives or stores your face data.

Exports, backups and reports

You can create a backup file (JSON), a spreadsheet file (CSV) and, with Tallyleaf Plus, a PDF report. These files are created on your iPhone only when you ask. Where they go next is your choice — for example Files, email or a message to your doctor. Once you share a file, the service you share it through handles it under its own terms. Backup files are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere you trust.

Purchases

Tallyleaf Plus is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple. Apple processes the payment and tells the App whether Plus is unlocked. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple may share aggregated, non-identifying sales figures with developers through App Store Connect.

What the App Does Not Do

• No account, sign-in or cloud sync
• No advertising, and no advertising identifier
• No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services
• No sale or sharing of your information
• No use of your location, camera, contacts or photos

If you choose to share crash reports with developers in iPhone Settings, Apple may pass anonymized crash logs to us. These do not include what you entered in the App.

The Website and Waitlist

This section applies to sosofamily.ca, not to the App.

Waitlist form

Before launch, the Tallyleaf page on sosofamily.ca has a form to join a waitlist. If you use it, we receive:

• Your email address
• The country you choose (United States, Canada, United Kingdom or Other)
• Whether you ticked "I'd buy Plus"
• The campaign link you arrived from, if any (for example a utm_source value), and the time you signed up

The form does not ask for health information. Because Tallyleaf is an app for GLP-1 medicines, simply being on the list could suggest an interest in these medicines, so we treat the list as sensitive.

The form is sent through EmailJS to our Gmail inbox (Google). Both services may process it outside your country, including in the United States. We use this information only to email you about Tallyleaf's launch and to count interest by country. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or add you to other mailing lists. We delete waitlist entries within 12 months after launch, or sooner if you ask.

Website analytics

sosofamily.ca uses Google Analytics to count visits and waitlist signups (including the country and "I'd buy Plus" answers, but not your email address). Google Analytics uses cookies. You can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Children

Tallyleaf is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children through the website, and the App collects no information from anyone.

Your Rights and Choices

• App data: You control it completely. You can edit or delete entries in the App, and deleting the App removes its data from your iPhone (Apple device backups you made earlier may still contain it).
• Apple Health: You can turn access on or off in the Health app at any time. Weight the App wrote to Apple Health stays there until you delete it in the Health app.
• Waitlist: You can ask us to see, correct or delete your entry by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, the UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have further rights, and you may complain to your local privacy regulator.

Security

App data is stored in the App's private storage on your iPhone and protected by iOS data protection when your device is locked. You can add the App's Face ID or passcode lock. No storage is perfectly secure, so please also protect your iPhone with a passcode.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. If a change would let data leave your iPhone in a way it does not today, we will say so clearly in the App before it takes effect.

Tallyleaf is a personal log, not a medical device. It does not calculate or recommend doses. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your treatment.
